A gothic horror classic, to call it science fiction isn’t fitting I believe, as the focus is more on frankensteins hubris than the science of the creation. Full of atmosphere and lots of moody introspection, drags in the first third but picks up once the creation takes more of a central role

Not a single film adaptation of this book has struck me the way Shelley's language and lush imagery managed to do. I really liked this. I finished this book back in March and was lucky enough to take a really amazing interdisciplinary course that traced the impact of Shelley's work through the centuries and what an impact it was! Can't wait to re-read this.
