More poems for children. I love Calef’s word choice and artwork. Here is my favorite verse from this collection:
“Because of you, I was once a half-emptyer. Now I’m a half-fuller. Because of you- the together-puller. So if I should smile and say something sunny, don’t look at me funny or act surprised. Because of you, I’m Optimized.”
I like that play on words and the glass is half empty/full.
I think Calef writes great poems for kids and it’s a nice introduction to fun poetry. Kids who enjoy words will appreciate them.
The nephew was rather delighted by the sound of the poems. He appreciated the rhymes and he thought some of these were funny. He said it was an ok book, but it wasn’t a story. He gave this 2 stars.

Always love Brown's quirky illustrations the poems are fun and have lots of heart. Some great use of figurative language as well.
