Stayed up to 4 am to finish this book. Couldn’t put it down. A few annoying things, and really disliked Tully so many times, but such a beautiful book. Going to sleep now with a stuffy nose from all the crying.

I watched the show before I read the book, and I don’t often say it but I definitely think the show was better. They were worlds apart too, the show just had more depth and a more interesting plot. I enjoyed this book as a coming of age, best friends tale that explores topics like loneliness and jealousy, and it certainly made you want to hang out with your besties again. SPOILER: < I also had a big appreciation for the awareness this story is bringing to rare and aggressive types of cancer >. buuut it was a bit of a slog to get through, I was very ready to pick up a different book after this one.
