I have read some amazing alpha/omega dynamics but this so far isn't one of them. Neither character has much personality. Not much happens except a lot of rather rape sex which actually ISN'T the point of alpha/ omega I might try the next one to see if it's like aroey arc but so fa  super disappointed

"Don't abuse yourself. You and your body deserve respect."

Compulsively readable and utterly unputdownable, but not, objectively, all that good? I'm not even sure how to feel about this. We follow Hyesung and Dojin's dysfunctional relationship. Hyesung was told at a young age that he was an alpha and lived his whole life believing it until, suddenly, he goes into heat at a part in front of actual alpha, Dojin. In an attempt to help the poor, confused beta, Dojin takes him home, but things quickly escalate when they both lose control of themselves. When he awakens the next day and remembers what he did, Hyesung bolts. Dojin should be fine with it, but, for some reason he can't understand, he is unable to get the beta out of his head and is pleasantly surprised when they are accidentally reunited a short time later.

I found this story compelling. Hyesung, for his part, is just a tragic ball of trauma and insecurity. He has so much development over the course of the series, but none of it comes easy. It's both beautiful and heart-breaking to watch his deep desire for love war against his overwhelming embarrassment towards any sign of vulnerability.

Where my struggle came in, though, was Dojin's sexuality. This story was overflowing with dubious consent and outright sexual assault. Hyesung saying no meant nothing to Dojin. Ultimately, Hyesung's inability to push Dojin away resulted in his growing secure in the relationship and learning to accept love, but the same journey was also travelled by our other couples in the series without the rape aspects.

All in all, though, I really enjoyed this and I love these characters.
