It's definitely a case of it's not you, it's me. I picked the book at random from my audiobook TBR. I enjoyed the language and seeing the events from Sabine's point of view, but the novel was too slow-paced for me and I couldn't really connect with any of the characters. I might come back to it one day because there were some compelling moments, but not enough for me to keep on reading.
