Really a 4.5. There are stories that are better, but this is told so well, and the illustrations are cinematic. It’s like watching an action sci-fi movie. Good stuff.

This collection continues to world build and add depth to many of my favorite characters. If you enjoyed what came before then carry on.

Kind of exhilarating. I'm not a big fan of combat sequences, just don't care all that much. And this book has a lot of combat. But also the text that goes with the combat actually works. And in the end caring about the characters pulled me through. That winter combat art really put you in the spot. And plots within plots within plots. And as side characters keep getting added, the world becomes richer. Hate the idea of having to wait for the sequel but it's on hold.

So yeah, this was amazing! Greg Rucka never disappoints! And the twist at the end! Dude, what?! Might have to read the single issues to find out what happens next cause I'm not sure I can wait for the next volume to come out. ^_^

This installment was fantastic. It opens with the story of a nun manipulated into becoming a spy for a little while, and in doing so, really fleshes out the world-building. There was a great mix of feudal politicking mixed with female-led kick-ass action.
