Wow! This series just gets better and better.

CL Rose writes yet another great and spicy book. 🄵

This why choose romance is full of emotions and also a great representation of mental health.
Well written and relatable characters. I was hooked on their story from chapter one.
Roller coaster of emotions with this book but worth every moment of it.

The spice has me sweating! Do not recommend reading in public iykyk

I would just like to say that this masterpiece of a book is literally the reason why I READ ROMANCE BOOKS. Watching our girl Arden, be wined, dined, taken care, and get railed by not only one but TWO sexy men.. I mean literally is this not your dream in life, because it’s mine? This is a MFM Romance, and yall the spice….. you’re just not even ready. (Chapter 46, Good Lord I was SWEATINGGGG).

And although it’s a spicy Why Choose, there is also so much emotional depth, and mental health awareness here. This wasn’t just a fluffy fun romance, the three of them dealt with difficult decisions, past trauma, anxiety, and trying to figure out how to live their life happily while in the public eye.

I love how Jackson is sweet, and Hawk is rough, yet somehow when they come together they are just perfectly suited for Arden! Their epilogue time jump had me tearing up because getting to see a small glimpse of what their future looked like was so sweet. Also, can’t let this review go on without mentioning we get a full on cameo from DADDY TANNER, and I screamed!!!!

If you’re looking for the best Why Choose, that’s extra spicy, but also super sweet, pick this one up, and enjoy the ride!

Spicy chapters: 13, 16, 19, 20, 25, 31, 32, 33, 37, 46, epilogue

Some of my fave quotes:

ā€œNow, they’re the best part of my day. My peace in the storm. Without them, I don’t even want to think about how incomplete I’d be.ā€

ā€œIf there’s one thing I’m certain of, it’s that Arden is the only person that matters in our world. As long as we have her, we can get through anything.ā€

ā€œWhatever comes our way, I want to face it together—you, me, and Hawk.ā€

HOLY FUCKING SHIT. Holy. Motherfucking. Shit.
I need a minute or ten thousand to recover from Hawk, Jackson, and Arden.

How do you put into words navigating three absolutely perfect, complex characters that come with so much depth, secrets, uncertainty, but yet so much love for each other in more ways than just one. These characters were so intricately created and holy fuck are they all just so perfect in their own ways.

Hawk Mason may be a broody, quiet, closed off guy - but DAMN if Arden doesn’t just waltz right into his life and set it on fire. Jackson Blake is your dream guy (stepbrother or not). He is your sweet,  gentle soft dom… with just a heart made to love Arden. Mix the two of them together - and you’ve got the perfect two guys for the one girl who deserves the both of them and their love for her. They both bring out different parts of her, but in the best ways possible.

Now let’s talk about how Candace can just write a damn book that has actual perfection spice and steam… like toe curling, panty melting spice. Holy WOW. There were multiple times it required a DM to Candace herself, because I HAD to express how phenomenal the spice is and how well executed it was in this book. I never knew I could be so damn down with an MFM relationship but I should’ve known this one would do it.

Hawk and Jacks friendship is SO endearing and truly I believe that they were meant to find one another. I love that their friendship never falters and that they are so open and honest with one another. Their banter and playful arguments are also a top favorite!

Round of afuckingpplause, Candace. Another absolute knockout book!

Just finished another banger from CL Rose and I’m OBSESSED.

The love between Arden, Hawk, and Jackson? Pure magic. Their connection was deep, passionate, and unshakable—even through the toughest adversity. I couldn’t get enough of their story.

And let’s talk about the spice—TOP. TIER. CL Rose never misses, and this book delivered on every level. Romance, tension, heat, and heart… all wrapped into one unforgettable read.

If you haven’t picked this one up yet, run don’t walk!

These three were perfection! I laughed, I cried, I smiled while reading Double Play. From the spicy moments to the happy ones and the vulnerable ones, C.L. Rose delivered a solid story that brings the emotions out of you.

Candice has this ability to write some of the best MMC I’ve read and she definitely delivered with these two gentlemen. Hawk and Jacks caught my heart, I literally can’t choose my favourite of the two.  From Hawk inner darkness to Jacks’ softer side, they both brought so many things to this story. They balanced each other out beautifully. And to complete our trio, we have our pro female volleyball athlete, Arden. I really enjoyed seeing the pro athlete side from an FMC’s perspective. They are definitely underrepresented in books and it was refreshing to read.

The way these three grow together and get to be vulnerable was such a beautiful part of this story! It was so well written that I could feel it while reading. The work they put in to be together wasn’t always easy to do but it showed the depth of their love for one another.

And you can’t talk about a C.L. Rose book without mentioning the spice! These three created some of the best spice together and I think this might just be the spiciest book in this series.

In the end, this is a story about three people meant to be together and it was absolutely beautiful!

1000/10 recommend!

I would like to thank C.L. Rose for the opportunity to read and review Double Play.

I absolutely loved this one. Arden has just accepted a professional volleyball position, and ends up staying with her stepbrother and his best friend until she can find her own place. Ok, well we know where this is going!

Hawk is quiet and reserved, has trouble expressing himself due to a troubled childhood, but he and Jackson have been best friends since they started playing for the Fury together. Jackson is the light to his dark, and they compliment each other perfectly. Of course, they're both drawn to Arden, but can they navigate the complicated dynamics to come?

Sweet romantic moments, and off the charts spice (don't read in public), this was such a great story!

Omg I loved this so much! CL Rose knows how to write some smutty smut. I’m normally enjoy a MMF pairing more than MFM but this one was done well.

If you love a kindhearted golden retriever MMC who will crawl for you, a broody dirty talking MMC that will tie you up, and strong determined FMC that can’t get enough of her men then this is the book for you.

I am thankful to Wordsmith Publicity and C. L. Rose for the ability to read an Advanced Reader Copy of Double Play. Double Play is the perfect ending to the Daytona Fury series! Seeing Hawk, Jackson, and Arden persevere through many different challenges was such an amazing experience. The portrayal of Arden's anxiety journey really resonated with me, as I have previously struggled with it. I felt very seen through the panic attacks, the use of medication, and breathing techniques. Hawk and Jacks are so wonderfully depicted both as friends and as individuals; you could tell from the get go that they had a unique bond that connected them, almost as much as their individual bonds with Arden.

The spice was spicing so hard! It's got 5 chili peppers because good gracious those scenes.... (the groveling is just *chef's kiss*). Hawk and Jackson do an great balancing act with the praise and degrading. To absolutely no one's surprise, C. L. Rose does a great job once again on portraying Dominance, submission, and consent. The trio's journey in polyamory is filled with love, devotion, care, and struggles - just like any normal relationship journey. This was the best ending to a series, and I cannot wait to read it again!
