I didn't love this book, because I didn't like the characters very much. I did like the way Simenon described New York, I could see the streets, the restaurants, the stores, the bars, and the Three Bedrooms.

Libro a parer mio invecchiato male, con la sensibilità di oggi su temi come la violenza sulle donne, in certi punti l'ho trovato fastidioso. Belle la scrittura e l'ambientazione (New York anni '50), ma nel complesso non lo consiglio.
