Plum Winter has always come second to her sister, Peach, who is a social media influencer. When an opportunity to attend an luxurious arts and music festival for celebrities and influencers arrives for her sister, Plum steals the invite and takes her two best friends for spring break. But when they get there, it’s anything but a retreat. A killer is tracking down influencers and murdering them one by one. Suddenly Plum doesn’t want to be famous anymore.

Ugh this book. Shallow characters, staccato plot, lame ending—my advice is to read One of Us is Lying or Truly Devious if you’re looking for a YA mystery. Too silly for me.

a fun, lighthearted read. this book follow a lot of social media stereotypes (influencers, gamers etc), which can be annoying but I found it entertaining. the only reason this book didn't suck is because it's relatively short.

If you’re looking for a campy young adult thriller, this is your book. There isn’t much of any character development, my favorite character being Jude. The book is a very easy read and left me smiling. It was good, and I will recommend the book but it’s nothing I would take seriously.

I enjoyed this YA thriller but it wasn't one of my favorites. Perhaps it felt a little younger than I would normally like, which is perfectly fine, as it is a YA book after all. But I just wasn't as invested in the mystery as I would like.

It was a very quick read and pretty predictable (I knocked it out in a few hours). I thought there was a lot of promise in looking at social media influencers and their personalities, but there wasn't any real character growth with some of the influencers that were featured in this. There was some shallow criticism of the influencers that didn't really reach a concrete point, and again their overall character development was super shallow. It really felt like, outside the plot, the book was working towards some sort of commentary on influencers and influencer culture, but it didn't really reach it on the level that it wanted to.

Giving two stars for the occasional good line and paragraph as well as a queer romance that wasn't bad.
