this story of friendship was accurate, and almost upsetting at times. that’s where it succeeds - the portrayal of a complex friendship.
i found the pacing less effective, and struggled to get attached to both the story and the characters.
despite this, it’s a very endearing book, and i can say that i did enjoy it. for a younger audience, i imagine this book would be wonderful. i myself am perhaps outside the correct age range.
