Definitely loved this trilogy! Though this book changed paces quite often! Then it went slow then fast and skimmed over interesting storylines…. Maybe this could’ve been 2 books or definitely 100 pages more!

This series is about a third over the top bodice-ripper romance claptrap and two thirds fascinating fantastical mystery thriller. I appreciated the attention to historical detail and worldbuilding, but ended up tldr-ing most of the romance bits. Still a damned good trilogy and I look forward to seeing what the author comes up with next.
