Definitely the weakest book of the trilogy. Sure, it was nice to get some actual answers and resolution, but other than that this book didn’t give us much!

The plot for the first half of the book was bouncing between houses and talking about how to find the book. Then they have to divide and conquer, and the next quarter of the book is mostly whining about being apart. The only real plot happens right at the end!

I also found the characters so much more frustrating in this book. Diana was fine, I guess, though boring. But I was just so over it with Matthew and how crappy he is! When everyone is afraid that if they say the wrong thing or look at his wife too long he might kill them, I’m pretty sure that’s not a healthy relationship, vampires or no.

There’s another issue I have with the series as a whole, they have this whole society of vampires who have impossible amounts of money and property. And yet, some are just servants for eternity and apparently happy with that?? Like how many centuries do you have to cook for people or chauffeur them around before you get to have your own house? It just seems so unfair and somehow no one even mentions it?? Mostly I’m thinking of Marte, she deserves better!

Skvělé zakončení celé série. Brečím, směju se a zapomínám, jak skládat věty. No jednoduše řečeno si tuhle trilogii musíte všichni přečíst.
