I've been trying to figure out what I wanted to say about this book and the series. I have found very few series that come full circle and this one of them. A discovery of Witches and School of Night are brought into the fold of the Book of Life without making thing complicated. Harkness also continues the grow both emotionally and physically with Matthew and more importantly Diane. Harkness also allows the reader to fell the fear, love, sorrow , and joy that our characters experience all the way to the end. I found my self indifferent with the ending. I don't dislike nor am I completely in love with the ending. I can help but wonder if there could be more to Diane's and Matthew story with a few subtle references in the last two chapters that could maybe become another story arch for the Bishop - Clermont family.

Wow. This was such a solid conclusion to the trilogy. There were a couple things I didn’t love, Chris was much less palatable, especially in the beginning than towards the end. Gallowglass’s confession is so poignant and heartbreaking. There’s things that were different than how it played out in the show and honestly the book was so much better. Incredible work and I sincerely recommend reading it.
