Such a cute, romantic story! I love Raven and Beast Boy together~ I want to go back and read the two that came before this one.

This was a great culmination of the previous two graphic novels that lead into this story. Raven and Garfield end up meeting in Nashville and not realizing that they're looking for the same person. There are some good action sequences in this one, and Garfield and Raven have good chemistry with each other. It definitely made it fun to read!

The writing wasn’t very strong in some areas, and the dialogue could be cheesy. Since Raven doesn’t know Gar, why would she agree to share a motel room with him??? I know she had lost her wallet, but stranger danger. I feel her sharing the room with him could’ve happened more plausibly. I’m excited to read the next book.

But the artwork was lovely as always. Raven had some cute outfits!

And the appearance of …
Robin (Damian)! Looking sharp. I would love a Robin Jacket like that. He and Max, Rae’s foster sister, have some flirtation going on.  Interesting since Damian in the cartoon adaptions has something with Raven. Wonder how Starfire fits into this.
:D

I love this series. I love the art style, I love the way the story is building, I love the way Garcia and Picolo portray Beast Boy and Raven. It's just very fun all around. I also loved the introduction of Robin and the brief look at Starfire we see in this book (hopefully that means that Cyborg is just around the corner!). I also really like that Max gets to be an important part of this team too. I don't know if she is based on any comic book character or if she's new, but I really her and her relationship to the rest of the team.

I received a copy of this story as an e-ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Any and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

In the third installment of graphic novels with a new twist on the Teen Titans heroes, Gar and Raven are stuck in Tennessee, each with the goal to discover more about themselves and their powers. But then they run into each other, and maybe they'll come out of this with more than just information about their powers.

I've been a fan of the Teen Titans since I was a kid. I watched the OG show whenever I would go to my grandparents' houses. Being able to see my childhood twisted and morphed into a more modern setting really helps me see the characters in a new, mature light. I really like the additions of the characters new and old to the series as well.

I also loved the romance between Gar and Raven, but at times felt it was a bit too rushed. Usually in the show, Raven and Gar butt heads pretty often, but they still have that softness for each other. They still have that in the beginning, but it doesn't linger as much as I wish it would. It also felt rushed at times, which I get this is for a younger audience and is a graphic novel, but I still wish we got another installment before they really start to build up that romantic tension.

The plot was really good in that it wraps in most of the other Teen Titans members while also still connecting it to an overarching plot about Slade and his attempt to capture these superpowered teens.

Finally, I'm still a huge fan of the art style and design of the characters. It keeps to their original roots but with a modern twist, which aids in helping a younger and newer audience relate to the characters.

Regardless, I'm still super pumped for the rest of the series and cannot wait to see where Kami Garcia takes this. The Teen Titans series is a great introduction graphic novel series and superhero story that you can finish in one sitting.
