I really enjoyed this one. I gobbled this one right up. I really couldn't put it down. Karla Soresen has won me over with her characters. I loved them in her first book I read then she solidified it with this one. I just loved Matthew. He's great book boyfriend material. He has many swoon worthy moments especially when it comes to Ava. Muscular arms and shoulders are my kryptonite so reading the description of Matthew's physical attributes had me sold. It's amazing what a wonderful person Ava is with the family she has. They are a real piece of work if they were my family I wouldn't want anything to do with them. Ava deserves someone like Matthew in her life. I loved the ending so hard. It was the perfect touch for this book. I highly recommend this one.

Ava is amazing at her job as public relations manager for a professional football team. It’s her dream job so she has no issues that it’s so demanding on her time and life. When the team brings a former superstar out of retirement to play defense for two more years, Ava is dumbstruck to learn it’s her sister’s ex-fiancé.

Loved these characters. It isn’t often that the male main character is the vulnerable one and I enjoyed seeing the female character make the big gestures for him, all while he still supports her and has her back. There’s potential for a love triangle and I loved the way that worked out. Totally digging this author!

Tropes: Childhood Crush, Sports Romance (Football)

Una protagonista insegura, muchos problemas de confianza en la pareja principal, si esta lindo, pero no se, creo que me falto.

I liked Ava in the first book, in this one not so much. I was so annoyed, frustrated and done with her. Matthew deserved better. She needed therapy not a boyfriend. And the way her family treated her, she needed to grow a spine with them and finally put them in their place. When her mom found out about Matthew and told her she would never forgive her if she ruined Ashley's day like she should've told Ashley and then gone no contact with them. Also her not telling Matthew after he'd been nothing but supportive and a shoulder to lean/cry on was fuxking foul.

Thoughts: Good read, really happy to found this series.

Love them, she falls first but he falls harder!!

i did Not appreciate the grumpy/sunshine bait

I really enjoyed this story!! My first read of this author was book one in this series and I fell for the easy to connect to characters and situations that they all found themselves in. The second chance of sort love story had me feeling all of the emptiness and not adding up on Ava’s side, but also on Matthews’s. Having thought he’d love and lost but soon realizing he hadn’t seen it yet. She was always searching for validation and it came from a crush from the past...all this led to butterflies and feels that I adored!

Could you date your sisters ex boyfriend? Even if you always had some feelings there? I’m not sure honestly. But this was a good book. I disliked Ava’s family very much. I glad she stuck her ground. I’m glad her Dad was there for her when she needed him the most. I’m glad Matthew forgave and him and Ava got their HEA.
