Is it just me, or does anyone else read the word "jaguar' like those old Jaguar car commercials with the British narrator pronouncing it "Jag-u-ar," making it three syllables? Anyhow, loved this book, great fun story.

good concept but a bit flawed in execution and again … why couldn’t it be longer

I absolutely loved this. It won't be for everyone but it was right up my alley. It had an interesting premise, a strong female lead, it didn't shy away from getting gross, it was funny and it was sexy.

I didn't feel that anything was forced between any characters. Could the story have been a bit longer? Yes! I would have loved a full length book. This is the 2nd time I've read something of V. Castro and I have to say I really enjoy her work.

The two stories I've read from the Rewind or Die series were great so I'm going to have to check out some of the others.

"Bad shit happens to good people all the time. You can't help natural disasters, but people were the worst kind of disaster, hands down."

Magdalena works as an exotic dancer to take care of her teenaged sister after the death of their parents. These sisters are part of the jaguar shifters bloodline, and the San Antonio Stripper Ripper is out looking for a specific kind of blood.

This was a fun, quick read! It had strong female characters, Mexican culture, blood and gore, and shapeshifters. I've always read stories about werewolves so it was refreshing to have a story about a different shapeshifter. I also loved the relationship between the sisters and the supernatural elements sprinkled throughout.

My only complaint was that I wish this novella was longer. It could have easily been a full length novel, developing the characters and plotline further. However, that didn't take away my enjoyment!
