Lots of exclamation points for some reason!
Ha, but really, the book was all right. I read about 100 pages before I stopped because I was having dreams of demon infestations. A little unsettling.
This book interviews the storytells through the Warrens' lives. Interesting - I read because I enjoy the COnjuring movies. A worthy read, for sure.

This book almost reads as a text book. It is very informative which makes it a very slow read.

Was pretty disappointed by this, i feel like the book could of been maybe a chapter or two long? Its completely padded out by repetitive, unbelievable filler. I felt like every other line was “furniture levitated” the only interesting parts were when ed or lorraine went into detail about the demonic or theories behind it.
Life’s too short to finish shitty books.
I love ghost stories. I really do. I love them enough that I’ll sit through awful movies and tv shows – Paranormal State level awful. It was actually that show where I first became aware of Lorraine Warren – a sweet, elderly woman who senses paranormal entities and such. The name slid into my mental file cabinet, and I never thought about her again. Then I saw The Conjuring (which I found highly entertaining) and Ed and Lorraine Warren were a pretty central role. A combination of peaked interest, internet research and a friend’s tweet led me to The Demonologist.

30% cases, 70% evangelical christian propaganda
I was so horribly disappointed in this one. I suppose if you are a Christian, this would likely scare you, which I believe is the whole purpose of this book. One of the questions they ask is if you have other religious deity images in your house, as if that welcomes demons. Ridiculous. Billy Graham was quoted. These people are so scared of the occult, but that is the world they have chosen. They are hypocrites. Ed admitted to only have read texts sanctioned by the church, not laymen, yet he is a laymen! I expected more cases, but instead they took the opportunity to spread fear and nonsense. The "literal definitions" they mentioned were incorrect. So many flaws, I don't even know where to start. Of the 30% of case references, most of it wasn't believable and there was hardly any evidence or witnesses. The annabelle story was not at all like the movie. Worst book read this year.

This book was rather difficult to put down! I have been interested in Ed and Lorraine Warren for a very long time and this book certainly did not disappoint!
I've been reading books by and about the Warrens for years. I've watched The Conjuring, The Haunted and A Haunting in Connecticut (movie and deep cable "documentary"). I honestly don't know how I feel about the reality of the things they've done, but I found this an interesting tale. Ed Warren comes across as more than a bit arrogant, which I did not find surprising.
