I want to sacrifice this book and the person that gave it to me. Ironically I will need therapy to move on from this book.

An untarnished deep dive into women’s desire. I think this book will stay with me for a long time.

There are two quotes I believe best portray the overall message of this book :

"She is without a father. When girls are without fathers, they look under every manhole cover."

and

"Even when women are being heard, it is often only the right types of women
who are actively heard. White ones. Rich ones. Pretty ones. Young ones. Best to
be all those things at once."

I do not wish belittle these women's experiences, as they are entitled to their feelings and their own narratives, however I d think that this book was a little reductive.

Almost impossible to put down. It’s a fascinating peek into American female desire.
