ok ive been falling into a reading slump but did not expect this to be the book to pull me out of it
story is cute (+ handles its serious topics gracefully and doesn’t minimize them nor make them take over the entire story) and the art style and how panels are arranged is so cool <3
only complaint is that i didnt like how sometimes in the chibi style chelsea is just randomly bald lmao

Este cómic ha sido una muy grata sorpresa. Los dibujos son muy buenos, la historia fluye bien equilibrando el misterio histórico con los problemas familiares de la protagonista, y los personajes tienen bastante profundidad. Una gran historia que mezcla cuestiones raciales con los problemas típicos de la adolescencia sin sonar moralizante en ningún momento. Recomendado totalmente.

By far one of the best graphic novels I’ve read. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous with so much detail that isn’t overwhelming. There is so much expression with the characters that I don’t see in a lot of graphic novels. The story was fantastic. It was lighthearted yet reflective. There was so much story packed into this graphic novel but it never felt like too much or too little. I really feel like they accomplished perfection.
