This graphic novel is soooo soo so good! I loved every page of it. There’s some colonizee humour that I did not expect, the cutest characters with an unexpected plot twist, a cute cat!!! This is also perfect for black history month (and every othe enough of the year but in case you’re looking for educational material that’s fun for teenagers to read, this is it!) this book is also about belonging and accepting oneself. Apollo and the ducks <3
This came from the library yesterday, I’ve requested it many weeks ago and it wasn’t easy to remain patient but the wait was worth it, though I read the whole book in one evening. I will have to get the paperback for my collection of my favourite graphic novels.

This graphic novel was so good! I loved the illustrations. Taking this ghost story/ghost busters idea and placing it on a former plantation in New Orleans was just what I didn't know I needed in my life. There was humor, mystery, exploration of identity, racism, and family legacies. Loved it!

This was so cute! The graphics were beautiful and the story was so unique. A Black teen is forced to work for her dad's ghost hunting business for the summer after getting in trouble. It's full of teen angst, embarrassment, mystery, racial justice, New Orleans history, and fun (+cute!) ghosts. I think this is a great read for adults and kids alike.
