Solo se salvan los epílogos de Francesca y Posy.

I listened on audio—and I wish they would have had the original narrator, Rosalyn Landon. Having a male voice threw me off, but I did enjoy re-listening to the second epilogues and hearing about Violet.
adventurous emotional funny hopeful inspiring lighthearted medium-paced

Reviewing just for Violet, because I had already read the other 2nd epilogues.

WHY oh WHY could Violet not have had a secret, torrid affair (or several)?
I adore that she loved her husband so deeply, but with such involved children, surely this could have been more interesting than a single dance with a lovely stranger on the night Benedict meets his wife?

Genuinely feel like this should have been a whole novel, because I also want to know how she coped when all her children had moved out. Did she stay at number 5, in a huge (for a woman alone), empty house, or did she take turns living with various children and friends? Did she get involved with the marriages of her grandchildren? How did she cope with going from a house full of children to an empty nest? Exploring more her relationships with Lady Danbury and Mrs Featherington.

So much potential, such a lovely (if brief) summary of her love story, but with no vavoom.
Does Quinn really think we don't want to think about the sex lives of women we meet as adults with grown children? Because after the scenes presented in all the other books, this was so tame as to be dull. This could have been an absolute ripper of a "life of a middle aged widow".

it gets two stars only because I personally adore Violet and her scheming.

The perfect ending to my favorite historical fiction series. Only problem was that the Violet novella was sweet, but a little dull. And the narrator didn't get Colin's voice right :). Highly recommended, but only if you have read all the Bridgerton books.
emotional funny fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

Brilliant conclusion to the Bridgertons. Good God, I love this family so much.

Ratings for the second epilogues:

The Duke and I: 4.5/5

I like that we finally got to find out what was in Simon's father's letters. The timing was perfect with Colin asking Simon advice. Daphne's pregnancy was a nice surprise. I'm actually not even surprised to see that his father's letters contained nothing special. But it was a good conclusion, with no loose threads this time.

The Viscount Who Loved Me: 5/5

Julia Quinn was right. The Pall Mall game from [b:The Viscount Who Loved Me|861326|The Viscount Who Loved Me (Bridgertons, #2)|Julia Quinn|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1274211015s/861326.jpg|3363] is probably my favourite scene out of the whole series. I loved seeing Kate and Anthony again, since they're my favourite Bridgerton couple. They never ceased bantering and I absolutely love that about them. The Pall Mall game in this one was even funnier than the one in the original novel. I just love Kate and Anthony so much.

An Offer From a Gentleman: 2.5/5

While I like Posy, I also would've liked to see more of Benedict and Sophie's story. Nevertheless, Posy's story was cute and I liked it.

Romancing Mister Bridgerton: 4/5

Woo! No more loose ends! We finally saw how Eloise found out about Lady Whistledown! I wanted to see her reaction, but Hyacinth spilled the beans before Penelope could tell Eloise herself. I loved seeing Colin and Penelope again. I can't believe they sneaked out the wedding ceremony (lol actually I can haha)

To Sir Phillip, With Love: 4/5

This was a cute story and I loved seeing the world through a grown-up Amanda's eyes. Even though I would've liked to have seen more of Eloise and Phillip, I actually found myself really liking Amanda's story.

When He Was Wicked: 5/5

Ahhhhh. They finally got to be parents :')
And the scene where they made love in the fields was written beautifully (from which it was obvious that Francesca was gonna be pregnant)
I loved seeing Michael interact with Charlotte; it was the cutest thing ever.
I also liked the tidbit we got on Kate in the end.

It's in His Kiss: 3/5

It still frustrates me that Isabella kept the jewels away for so long. Not so much anymore because it was rightly done on her part to let Hyacinth think that she found the jewels all on her own.

On the Way to the Wedding: 5/5
Gosh, this one was so emotional. I found myself with tears in my eyes. Gregory and Lucy are so perfect for one another. The last scene where all her children came into her room was perfect. I absolutely adored little Katharine (and was pleasantly surprised to see that their first-born was named after Kate).

Violet in Bloom: 5/5

Perfect. I loved meeting Edmund Bridgerton. I see a lot of him in Colin. Actually, I feel that Edmund had a little bit of each of his son in him. Maybe I missed this from the other novels, but I actually didn't know that Violet and Edmund knew each other since they were kids. It was so adorable. Although we didn't get to see much of Edmund, I found myself really liking the story. And I was pleasantly surprised to see that Edmund's first time was with Violet *sigh* :')

We got to see Edmund's demise through Violet's perspective. I was crying in that scene, which made me remember Anthony's and Eloise's perspectives on that tragic event.

The scene between Violet and her daughters was beautiful.

And now I find myself with another mystery. Who was the man Violet danced with? It seems that it wasn't only Benedict who had a mystery dance partner that evening.

I was surprised to find out that the fact Anthony named his first-born after Edmund wasn't mentioned. But I wasn't too bothered by that. I just thought that it was gonna be mentioned since this short story was partly on Edmund and Violet.

The ending to Violet in Bloom was what made my heart burst with joy. It was the perfect conclusion. [b:The Duke and I|110391|The Duke and I (Bridgertons, #1)|Julia Quinn|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1274211176s/110391.jpg|846763] started off with Daphne and Violet. The Bridgertons then concluded with Violet and Daphne. It was perfect.

She had eight children, thirty-three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. :')

The Bridgertons is one of my favourite series. I will revisit this family at least once a year. I won't be able to stay away from them indefinitely.

The second epilogues feel like checking in on an old friend. And the Violet novella is beautiful and heartbreaking. I would read an 8 book series just on Violet’s perspective.

Like microdosing dopamine

I thought this would have more to it. I had read the new editions of the books that already had all of these "Second Prologues."' I read this for Violet's story however and that was a cute read.
