So I've been looking to my keyboard for the past 10minutes and I can't come up with something to write. I'm so not okay with the end os this book. My heart! So random things I loved: I really liked Julian but Emma pissed me off as hell sometimes, expecially in the end, why couldn't she just be honest with Julian for gods sake? I really want for Mark and Kieran to end up togheter and this Mark and Emma plot pisses the hell out of me . The characther I liked more and instantly fell in love with was Ty, my precious precious baby
Spoiler I ship him with Kit so so much
. Jem and Tessa tho, my heart! Jem keeps breaking my heart. I love him so much. So many feels with this book arghhhh, I can't deal. Need Lord of Shadows and The Queen of Air and Darkness right f-ing now!!!!!

I need to polish this review a bit.

Okay so let's start off this review with stating the obvious - Cassandra Clare still makes me green with envy with her writing and everything behind it - the storybuilding, the characters and the plot. Even after TMI and TID I don't mind being set in the same world. It never gets old, even though I had my doubts. And isn't it strange that I imagine Magnus now as Harry Shum Jr. when I had been doubting that cast choice? Now I can't imagine Magnus as anyone else.

And now let's start with the fun part - the news we get about the TMI crew after the books (or as known as the spoiler zone):
Spoiler
...and a rather controversial one for birth control that had nevertheless quickly become the most often used rune in the lexicon. I have to admit, this was a smart idea, with all the condom wearing in other dimensions and what not.

They could have gotten married under the new laws that allowed Shadowhunters to marry Downworlders (other than faeries), but they hadn’t.
He and Alec Lightwood had an adopted warlock child, named Max, who was a scintillating shade of navy blue.
Our favorite couples, Malec are not married (yet!) and they have a kid. uwu

Technically, the Institute wasn’t supposed to have a computer in it.
The Clave resisted the advent of modernity but even more so any engagement with mundane culture.
RIGHT? RIGHT? That's what I've been saying all this time - and yet we have the show in which the Institute is like a modern day CSI setup. WHY SHOWRUNNERS!? WHY!? :o

As he tucked a fifty into his jeans, Emma noticed that he was wearing a gray T-shirt that said TMI across the front. “Too much information?” she said.
He brightened. “The Mortal Instruments. They’re a band. From Brooklyn. You heard of them?”
Poor Simon is not in it, ironically.

Sure-Strike, Swift-Footedness, Battle-Rage, Soundless. The names of the runes make me cackle.

Jace and Clary had ridden a flying motorcycle. There were paintings of it. I can imagine it. Plus the babies are all grown up - Clary is not sixteen anymore, she's like twenty two. Hella strange.

“From my sister’s engagement party, to be precise,” said Jace. “There was an open bar.”
“Oh!” A look of happiness flitted across Emma’s face. “Isabelle’s marrying Simon?”
YASSS QUEEN YASSS

And now, the serious part of the review. My two new babies, Emma and Julian.
Spoiler
“The runes they created would be unlike any others. They would begin to wield magic as warlocks do. But Nephilim are not meant to be magicians. Eventually the power would make them mad, until they became as monsters. They would destroy their families, the others they loved. Death would surround them until eventually they died themselves.” Still not a good reason to do what Emma did. WHY EMMS.

One where he’d been there, and so she’d fallen in love with him and not his brother. One where she’d been Julian’s parabatai and married to his brother, and they’d been in each other’s lives, bound permanently in every way people could be bound, and it would have been everything they should have wanted. Does she realize that couldn't have happened even if it was possible - Julian loved her way way beforeeeeeeeeeeeee, even before she came to realized it in this book.

update: It seems that I forgot to mention few important things, like...
We have Ty, baby Tiberius who is a neuro-atypical! I have never read something that has an atypical person in it, and I am so happy to see that C.C. loves representation of characters. And I have a feeling that there is going to happen something between Kit and him.
And as important as Ty, we have Mark! Mark who has openly admitted being a bisexual and I am keeping my fingers crossed that something happens between him and Cristina unless he trully plans to push the whole Emma charade. Okay, that's it. I have a feeling I am going to remember something else throughout the day.

Okay I am done. I am so hyper and upset and angsty and I can't wait for the next book. Probably it's going to make cry like a bitch. YEAY.

Good book right along all of her other works...it's too much sexual tension for me between two of the characters and the ending was sad which makes it hard to wait for the continuation book to come out

Back again to the Shadowhunter world business!

It was immensely refreshing to read names again that are once cursed and loved, but the mere mention of Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood literally pushed me to tread the entire book with joy and angst combined. <3

Appreciatively, Clare skillfully sustained the greatly loved familiarity of her signature fantasy at the same time ensured to portray each series with their individual uniqueness. As of now, Mark Antony Blackthorn has initially swooned me to pursue him in this series.

Growing and highly anticipating, ONWARD TO BOOK TWO!

Read it again and it still remains five stars. God what beautiful character building, vivid imagery and overall enticing story that I couldn't put down. Clare never disappoints.
