Devney Perry was a 'new to me' author that so many people have only had amazing things to say about and I'm kicking myself for have waited so long to pick up her books, I can totally understand and agree with what everyone has to say.

Tattered was a book I had sitting in my tbr for so long after seeing everyone rave about it and the Lark Cove series on bookstagram. When I was given a free copy in a newsletter over last Thanksgiving, I still had it sitting in my kindle waiting to be read - once again kicking myself for waiting so long, because oh what an amazing read this was.

It was beautifully written and Thea was a character that I was so easily able go connect with, that reading her story was enjoyable. She was everything I look for in a heroine; smart, sassy, strong and at times really funny. Logan was at times so frustrating because I just wanted him to "get it" but whenever he didn't I felt like thumping him upside the head. However he too was an easily enjoyable character, who you could clearly see how much he truly loved Thea and their daughter Charlie. Now Charlie was such a highlight for me in this book, she was crazy adorable and literally melted my heart everytime I read her parts in the book. Overall I genuinely loved how much both main characters wholeheartedly wanted the best for their daughter and loved her.

Hazel and Jackson (side characters) were just as amazing, they complimented the main characters so well and I looked forward to moments with them mentioned.

I am happy to say that I am now reading Timid and Devney Perry is now one more author that I will have no problem one clicking - if you haven't picked this book up or any book of hers up yet, do it!! Don't wait like I did, you'll just be kicking yourself like I did. One of the easiest five stars I have given ♡
