Charlotte has a high stress job as an admin in finance and barely has time for anything else. When her two roommates become engaged and move to the suburbs, she realizes that there's not a lot going on in her life. So while looking for answers that only Google can provide, she comes across this old podcast called Sorry Not Sorry about how to be a bad girl and get more enjoyment out of life, specifically dating. Fans of the very British romcom will enjoy reading about Charlotte's adventures in Sorry Not Sorry.
Maybe. This picked up in the second half, but I had a hard time getting invested. I didn't enjoy the podcast bits. I didn't see what was so appealing to Charlotte about them. There were some elements that were hard to buy. (The cat resolution and then the roommate resolution.). Also, did we get any resolution with the female roommate? I might have just missed it.

Well, it wasn't Bridget Jones Diary entertaining but it was an okay read. I do think I will try the audio version and see if my enjoyment is enhanced.
Charlotte was about to lose her flatmate who was getting married, which caused Charlotte to take stock of her own life. Charlotte decided that she works a lot and needs to expand her horizons. She begins listening to a podcast "Sorry Not Sorry" where the listener is challenged to live on the wild side. This forces the heroine to start taking risks and getting out of her comfort zone. This part was made a bit more entertaining by the side characters, her girl crew, who shared her desire to settled down and get married. I don't remember my single days that fondly so it was a little harder to relate but I was rooting for the girls to find their Mr. Right. I was expecting a lot more laugh out loud moments but all in all, it was an okay read.

It was... good. I read it in a sitting, so how bad could it be, right?
I liked Charlotte but some of the things that happened for her felt... unrealistic? I appreciated the author’s attempt at having a “real” main character but didn’t love the fact that everything still worked out for her like she was a porcelain doll.
A lot of the “conflict” of the book resolved too smoothly. The stalker? Gone in a phone call. The cat? Returned with no drama. The friend issues? Fixed over dinner. Even Charlotte’s job? Returned in a meeting where the actual culprit earns a C-suite job, too. Just felt sort of like “hey this would be an interesting way to spice up the story” but then “oh I forgot I would have to fix that, so I guess HERE!”

I found the start a bit dragging. Not really knowing how all those details were going to play out but it did end in a nice way. I just found some storylines to be lacking within the story or maybe the transitions just needed more work to connect seamlessly with one another. It might not be WOW to me but I think this author has promise and I’m giving her other books a shot instead.
