This was a quirky, cute romantic comedy. Charlotte is determined to bring adventure and love to her life and gets the motivation through a podcast she hears. She learns to take bold risks as she explores her likes and dislikes. The writing is good and engaging as well. All around good novel.

I really enjoyed this book, accidentally read it after the next one in the series but it didn't take away from the story!
Charlotte is a really good role model in that she does know what she wants, and tries her best to follow through with her gut feelings and principles. She is also the kind of girl I want to be friends with!

Oh my gosh this book was the perfect escape! I’ve been fighting a cold, I picked this book up and soon I felt like I was with my amazing friend Charlotte as she’s telling me about her dating adventures over a glass of wine. Charlotte feels like her life is in a rut, her best friend Mandy is moving out of the flat they shared to a new house and soon to be married. Charlotte turns to a podcast she finds called “Sorry Not Sorry” and how to find your inner bad girl. When the podcast gives challenges like flirt with a stranger Charlotte starts to build her confidence. When new roommates move in Tansy and computer nerd Adam, Charlotte finds herself turning to the gorgeous Tansy as a friend more than Maddy and feels like her friendship with Maddy is changing. As Charlotte navigates life and follows the podcast she endures embarrassing moments, extremely awkward situations, workplace drama and just taking chances hoping to find her Mr.Right. I loved Charlottes character and even the other characters I felt they were written perfectly and Charlotte is someone everyone can relate to. This was such a fun book and I flew through it! Five stars!

Entertaining and fast read but not LOL like some reviews described. Not as “fluffy” as I expected.

It was... good. I read it in a sitting, so how bad could it be, right?

I liked Charlotte but some of the things that happened for her felt... unrealistic? I appreciated the author’s attempt at having a “real” main character but didn’t love the fact that everything still worked out for her like she was a porcelain doll.

A lot of the “conflict” of the book resolved too smoothly. The stalker? Gone in a phone call. The cat? Returned with no drama. The friend issues? Fixed over dinner. Even Charlotte’s job? Returned in a meeting where the actual culprit earns a C-suite job, too. Just felt sort of like “hey this would be an interesting way to spice up the story” but then “oh I forgot I would have to fix that, so I guess HERE!”

I am giving this 2 stars... I don't know what didn't work for me. The story line was what I expected from a rom com, the characters were likeable, I even work in the industry that the lead does, but for some reason, I found this book a chore to get through, which dropped it from a solid three, to a high 2 for me.

3.5 stars

A fun, lighthearted rom-com with a heroine who gets herself into twisted situations while looking for love. If you like Sophie Kinsella, you’ll enjoy this book.
