This book is SO FUNNY. Seriously - the banter between Isaac and Sunny is absolutely hilarious and I looked like an unhinged lunatic listening to this story while out in public because I couldn’t stop giggling.

Also - do yourself a favour and LISTEN TO THIS STORY! I don’t care what he narrates - I could listen to Zachary Webber/ Jacob Morgan narrate the instruction manual on the most mundane task and it would still be an absolute banger.

On a more serious note, I loved the arc of Isaac coming to terms with his grief. I actually had a very serious conversation with a family member about what I learned from this.

It’s funny, witty, quick and sharp but also kind of reflective and deep as well.

10/10 would recommend listening to this story!

This was a great addition to the Christmas Notch series. Equal parts sweet and spicy with a lot of reflection and a fun plot — what else do you need?

Thanks to NetGalley for the e-arc in exchange for my review.

3.75⭐️ Finally the right balance of back story, Christmas vibes and chemistry. There’s of course still cringey lines and maybe 2 too many side stories for the plot, but definitely the most enjoyable of this “series.”

There are many problems with this book. The series is getting worse with each instalment. It’s not even poorly written, I think the plot is just lazy? They introduced ton of characters in the first chapter, then almost the entire book it’s just Sunny and Isaac. Having sex, like every 10 pages. Which is fine but—boring (for me), and where is the dramatic tension? Sunny’s cat? Isaac needs a muse? No. The Christmas Notch ‘mystery’ was also a snooze. I can imagine the next book will be about Teddy and Steph? I wanted to just enjoy an escapist romance but apparently even I have limits.
