It wasn’t my favorite Emily Henry book, and I still enjoyed it. It was a slow burn then the ending felt really rushed.
Personally, I didn’t super care for the first 30% of the Ives family history.
I really wanted Alice to
make friends on the island and actually hang out with people other than Hayden.
I can understand that the friend group chat was easier for the storyline to not get too long and complicated. Although, she does
stay in Georgia to tell her mom’s story at the end, leaving all her friends in LA

I absolutely loved this book! I was weeping by the ending, and it broke the curse of my DNFing every other Emily Henry book!

I had heard mixed reviews of this one, but perhaps it's just because I'm nosy and love dramatic celebrity stories and cult documentaries, but the story part of the book did not bother me at all, I was invested in most of it in fact.

I loved it and I’m sobbing. (Maybe I’ll be more coherent with my thoughts later)

📚 Great Big Beautiful Life, Emily Henry

✨ Emotional. Reflective. Inspiring.

💭 Emily Henry literally never misses! Once again her characters and their stories captured my heart and my imagination. This book felt like the mosaics described in the story. Colorful, mesmerizing, unique, and sharp enough to keep you invested while still allowing escape from the ordinary.  A beautiful exploration of legacy, identity, success, and the way the past shapes our future.

Emily Henry provides yet again… not surprised though! I loved Alice and Hayden and how their feelings evolved, but I loved the plot and theme of family even more. I thought a lot about the quote “everyone is living life for the first time” a lot while reading it! The ending surprised me so much that I cried (hard). Each character’s evolution was important and I enjoyed how the puzzle pieces fit together. Yes, it gave Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo… but it’s unique in its own way. Would totally recommend!
