So good, very "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo"-esque but happier. Less Rom-com than her other books, more romantic fiction. Heartbreaking and healing at the same time. Wonderful.

This book is so Evelyn Hugo coded, which is both a blessing and a curse bc I LOVE Evelyn Hugo so I ate this upppp BUT it does feel a bit too familiar in some places. However, I LOVE this experimental prose Emily used in this book—would love more in that style!

Give me an Emily Henry audiobook narrated by Julia Whelan and I’m a happy girl. OMG this story was just so compelling and fascinating I literally could not put it down until it was finished. The narrative is split into two perspectives and each are equally enthralling - which can be really rare! This is the grumpy/sunshine trope but done in a really unexpected way. I LOVE THIS BOOK AND I LOVE EMILY HENRY.

The books tranforms in the final quarter. I found the romance secondary in this book. Margaret's story was all I wanted to know. The
twist
at the end was wonderful and change the book up a star rating but
I wish we had gotten to know more about Margaret and Hayden's relationship.  Did Nadine ever forgive her bio mother and let her in? The book build up Margaret's story and I wanted to know this key part.
