Honestly this book wrecked me a little bit. Emily Henry didn't such an amazing job, as usual. This was a real page turner I couldn't put it down

i’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews of this book but i personally loved it. i found the story to be interesting and kept me hooked, i enjoyed the interviewing aspect with Margaret and getting to learn both her story along with watching Hayden and Alice’s story unfold. i adored them both so so much and their chemistry off the jump was so good - i had a great time reading this one. definitely recommend!

This book was okay, not entirely what I was anticipating but I still liked it! I loved Hayden and the way we got to see his story unfold, but I wish we had his POV as well! The beginning of this reminded me of the 7 husbands of Evelyn Hugo, with an even more surprising (at least to me) twist at the end. This definitely isn't my favorite Emily Henry book, but she doesn't miss and this is proof of that. Overall it was alright!

This unfortunately did not do it for me. A little too much Evelyn Hugo vibes. The romance and its “resolution/ending” felt far too rushed. Ofc Em Hen’s dialogue continues to be witty, fun, and emotional (highlights include the ending conversation with the main characters mom) but honestly I just wanted to finish it :( I loved the books “message” but wish it was an entirely different story to get us there. Best parts were the family storyline of the main characters.

My perhaps controversial Em Hen ranking:
1. People We Meet on Vacation
2. Funny Story
3. Happy Place
4. Beach Read
5. Book Lovers
6. A Great Big Beautiful Life
