Deadly Roomate

This is a book that I wish I would have gotten as audiobook. This book is filled with sarcastic, snarky jokes that I think some people are just missing. Amy Poehler is hilarious and I love how she comes across as very open, but she also is very honest about wanting to be a private person. She will talk all about her stoner days, but not delve into her divorce from Will Arnett. And she's totally allowed to do that. What I loved about this book, was that we learned about Young Amy -- UCB Amy. This book is great for anyone who want to go into comedy or "the biz". But also good for just anyone.

Audio book is really good

Maybe I have read too many memoirs from celebs this year. But this was meh.
I will say it was probably better that I listened to the audio book - which that part was fantastic.
This book gave no new insight into Poehler for me. It was cool to hear about the UCB, but I was hoping for more parks and rec and there was only one chapter about that.
I was seriously underwhelmed.

Quick read. I enjoyed the SNL behind the scenes stuff. I’m sorry to say I haven’t seen any of Parks and Recreation so that stuff was lost in me, but I plan to binge watch ASAP. Amy is rad and I’d like hang out with her sometime. Hit me back gurl.

I don't love Amy Poehler as much as some people do, and I know listening to the audio book means I gave it an extra star. It was slow to start and didn't follow any logical timeline, but some of the stories were lovely and moving. Hearing her read it definitely made it more interesting.
