Loved this book! My favorite in the Cane Brothers series so far.

The characters were great and the banter even better. The friends to lovers flip in the story was scorching hot.

Like the other Cane brother’s books, this did not disappoint.

Left something to be desired in the end. The first half was riot. But I think JP is going to regain my favorite cane brother.

Skimmed through the first 45% of the book because Breaker (yes that’s his name) was too slow to know he was in love with his best friend of 10 years. Things got a little interesting after he realized it. Maybe it’s just that I don’t like the friends to lovers trope. But I love the relationship between the Cane brothers.

I absolutely loved the slow burn best friends to lovers in this one!! I also loved getting to see Huxley & Lottie / JP & Kelsey again.

Such a good audio book! Although sweet romances aren't my usual cup of tea, this one had me hooked from the get-go. The characters were refreshingly rational thinkers, and even the antagonists were well-rounded, avoiding the over-the-top villainy often found in similar books. I appreciated how it showed that just because someone isn't right for you doesn't mean they're a terrible person—they just weren't the one for you at that moment. Well, except for the mother-in-law. She's the one exception who could be pushed into a beaver pond without anyone batting an eye.

Another aspect that stood out was the strong support network surrounding the male MC, which is pretty rare in most books. Both MCs received solid advice from their friends, adding depth and realism to the story. And let's not forget the spice in this book—it's "chef's kiss", so hot!!

Overall, A Long Time Coming is a heartwarming and enjoyable read that I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a feel-good romance.

OH MY GOD MY HEART

Lia and Breaker are goals. I love that their story was a bff-to-lovers. Everyone should have their own Breaker or Lia. That one person that just gets you and knows every little detail about you. Even if you don't marry them, you need one in your life.
