I had a really difficult time getting into this story. The voice of the book did not feel natural, rather forced and I found myself really disconnected from the heart of what was going on. I feel like this is just a clash of my tastes and the theme of the story. You can tell this book meant a lot to the author and I commend Terry for writing his story, for it is no small feat to execute and carry out writing a book like this.

This book has a lot of wonderful reviews so I can't help but still encourage you to give it a shot. I know my preferances are unique, so just because the book didn't work for me, doesn't mean it wont work for you.
