I liked the format, which is 3 points of view alternating over one day. I thought this would be a frothy, light book—did I not read the synopsis? I guess I judged based on the cover alone—but it was deeper than that. It was a fast read, and I’m surprised by how much I liked it. I think it’s about trying (and failing at times) to avoid being compromised by wealth and power.
