Fantastic for kids struggling with weight. I appreciated the author's note on how realistic the shaming comments and attitudes are. The therapist was so helpful, and I was glad to see Ellie slowly open up and feel empowered through her sessions.

This is an absolutely amazing read. I have already recommended to our middle school librarian that we MUST order this book for our library. I teach math but if I were an English teacher I would have every class read this book.
Ellie is the main character of the story and has a poor self image. Students at her school bully and humiliate her, and members of her own family cause pain as well.
This is a great story of how Ellie learns to deal with the negative and love herself.
Trust me - this is an absolute MUST Read. It is Lisa Fipps’ debut book and what an incredible debut it is! Kudos to Lisa Fipps for writing such a powerful book that leaves the reader with a heart for others and a true desire to understand the whole person and look for the beauty within.

My daughter and I both loved this, and it provided an excellent opportunity to discuss the social pressures surrounding body image. Highly recommend for pre teens and post teens alike!
