A cross between The Bachelor and The Hunger Games, but worse than both. The plot whips around at breakneck speed, never fully explaining anything, and leaving the reader with whiplash. There are some dark scenes that are only there for the shock value - no time to mourn; onto the next plot point. Would not recommend.

Got a bit boring and outrageous in some parts. It was also a bit repetitive, but I loved it. Found myself wanting to read more, even when I was busy with other things.

Kinda chaotic, but in a good way?
I enjoyed the action and appreciated the scene descriptions but toward the end I found myself skipping through which building roof was shaped as a dome. There's a lot of characters so at times you don't really know whose important to remember. The fmc is kinda annoying sometimes but she is only sixteen so it's fine.
Again, I loved the action and it felt nonstop in this book. It's gory and the craziest shit happens. I read hunger games when I was younger and this reminded me of the feelings associated with reading these kinds of books for the first time, so for that i do really enjoy this book.
HATED the cliffhanger but, ill probably read the second one.

This book gives me mixed feelings. I was pretty confused the whole time, and I didn’t understand the whole “underdog” and “bucking bronco” situation-can anyone explain that to me?? Also I didn’t understand the ranking system.

This book was like of the Hunger Games and the Selection if they were mixed. It was kind of slow and I kept getting a bit lost in the plot. Overall though, it was interesting and me invested. I can’t wait for the second book.
