As main other reviewers have stated, Rainbow Valley moves away from Anne and Gilbert and focuses more on the Blythe children and the Meredith children. It felt like a transition link to me, in that it felt as if it lack some story line. I think this was my least favourite of the series. I hadn't read it since I was going, so the refresh was nice, but I can't say I would gravitate to picking it up again. But still a part of the series many of us love so much.

Mary is a bitch and I'm still baffled by the sudden N word drop on page 131
