This series is one that I appreciate as an opportunity to reflect and reaffirm these virtues as guiding principles in my life. The anecdotes are quite interesting, as they have been in the others from this series. I also appreciate the occasional reassurance that these people (whom the anecdotes are about) and still fallible and exhibited shortcomings of their own. It helps make these books relatable.

I will (hopefully) come back to these from time to time to reflect again.

One of his best- make sure to read the afterword.

Listened on a road trip. Good insights but a lot of talk about Truman. Which I thought was strange.

Whole this might not be “the best” of Ryan Holiday (although it might), I think it’s the most important.  Definitely recommend reading.

I enjoyed the mini-biographies that were attached to show as an example of justice. I really wished it went more in depth.

I didn't enjoy how redundant it was though. So many sentences could have been cut out.

It felt as if it was written for a child at some point. I agree stoicism, (ryan holiday's style), should be simple to reach a wider audience, but it went too simple.

I appreciate the book and its message.
