Oh my cripes that was good. REALLY good. Straight up fantastic dystopic/sci fi that raises really great questions. I will definitely be finishing this series, having JUST discovered that there are more books. Oh my goodness. Excellent.

Will you stay with me?
Always.

One of my new FAVORITE BOOKS!
I think I like it so much that I do even know where to begin. How she woke up, how she fell in love, how he was in command, the ships secrets, it is now officially my new favorite sic-fi book.

The book was soooooo boring

Amy is seventeen when her parents decide to join an expedition to develop another planet. She makes the decision to join them as frozen cargo on board the ship Godspeed, leaving behind her life, her friends, and her boyfriend. By the time she arrives, the loved ones she left behind will long be history. After 300 years, Amy is awoken from her cryogenically frozen slumber. The only problem is the journey was supposed to be 350. She's been woken too soon and she's the only frozen person awake. With 50 years left to go, she'll be an old woman by the time her parents wake up. If they wake up at all. Someone is slowly killing those still frozen. And a tyrannical leader has taken over the spaceship.

I found this overall lackluster. It's written well and there's plenty of world building. There's no love triangle (very light romance overall) and it's a decent dystopian world that is totally creepy, but the mystery didn't offer any twists for me. I had everyone pegged and felt like I was be bashed over the head from the beginning with who done it. I was waiting for a mind-blowing twist because it just seemed to obvious... There wasn't one. That said, Revis does an awesome job with Amy's character. I just wanted to give that poor girl a hug from the very beginning. Being cryogenically frozen sounds terrifying and knowing that your loved ones have been dead for years when it seems like hardly anytime for you is such a heartbreaking thought. Elder I wanted to hit over the head for being so oblivious. (The naming of Eldest and Elder took quite a bit of getting used too). And Harley, ugh. Let me love you.

It bores me

All I knew before I read the book was that it was about space. In the beginning of the book I found all the info about the ship boring, but as I got into the story it got so interesting.

I really liked Amy's point of view and became bored with Elders pov in the beginning. It's really an amazing book with lots of "WHAT" "afahjsh" and "oh my god". At the end there were so many plot twists and I was just stunned.

The book kinda gave me a feeling close to The Host (but I didn't cry though). I am so excited to read the other books in the series. I cannot wait!

This book is so amazing, I can't describe it in words!
