I was going to make a quip about robot-yaoi, but genuinely, this was so unexpectedly cute and sweet.
ethan is a cyborg, once a human, now mostly a machine soldier. after tiring of fighting and killing other cyborgs, he takes a break and is stationed at a research center on the planet peridot. on the peaceful planet he makes new friends; the few other security cyborgs and the botanist mihail. mihail is gentle and innocent and just plain adorable. and for the first time since he was still mostly organic, ethan begins to feel.
i really, really enjoyed this. it's just pure fluff and their exploration of their feelings for each other was so tender and intimate. i also loved ethan's cyborg friends and how supportive they were. i just want more of this story. not because it isn't already perfect as is, but because i desparately want to see more of this setting and these characters.

This was excellent, just as I had hoped! I loved all the characters and the way the story touched on some bigger questions of purpose and existence. The spice was great, too, with so much chemistry between the MCs. π₯

Super cute for what I though was going to be monster-fucky.
Don't get me wrong, it's still monster-fucky, but cute. Like you actually route for the couple, and it's in no way dark. Alot of other BLs like this feature a toxic top, and Ethan is sooo not toxic. Neither is Mihail. They are perfect. Love them.
