Sehr einfach geschriebenes Buch für zwischendurch. Witzig und unterhaltsam.
Nicht intellektuell, dafür sehr amüsant. Und natürlich mit einem tieferen Kern(chen) an Message für den Reader.
Die einfache Sprache hat mir sehr gefallen, so dass ich nun mein zweites Buch von Safier begonnen habe.

Dies war eines der schlechtesten Bücher, das ich je gelesen habe. Die Charaktere sind einfach flach und klischeehaft gestaltet und die Handlung ist so vorhersehbar, dass man jeglichen Spaß am Lesen verliert. Die Witze erinnern an das Nachmittagsprogramm auf RTL2, mit Humor hat das wenig zu tun. Am meisten habe ich mich über die homophoben Untertöne geärgert, die wohl dadurch gerechtfertigt werden sollen, dass die Protagonistin einen schwulen besten Freund hat womit ihre Äußerungen völlig legitim sind?! Die Geschichte ist außerdem so schlecht recherchiert, dass einem Shakespeare nur leid tun kann.

3.5 Sterne. Das Buch verläuft nach einem typischen Schema, wie man es von David Safier kennt. Man darf kein literarisches Meisterwerk mit Tiefgang erwarten und Shakespeare würde sich womöglich im Grab umdrehen, wenn er diese Geschichte um ihn hören würde, aber ich habe mich gut unterhalten gefühlt. Für zwischendurch ganz okay und die Charaktere habe ich mit der Zeit auch liebgewonnen.

OH MY GOD

This book is so good! It's just perfect!
“Plötzlich Shakespeare” started out as slightly weird and super funny, got weirder and funnier with every page and finally culminated in a gripping, funny, weird, happy and moving ending. This novel deserves all the stars because of its story and even more for Safier's incredible writing.
Rosa is a relatable protagonist and I love how Safier includes various little side blows to today's society through her and her opinions.
Shakespeare is fantastic. At the beginning, Safier warns the reader of the historical inaccuracy but nevertheless has he created a somewhat realistic 16th-century England, with Shakespeare right at the center, being weird and funny and just totally awesome.
I read this books within two days and putting it down even for an hour seemed hard. The writing is funny (a little earthy at times, but hey, that's my kind of humor!) and really makes the reader part of the journey of these two people. It ends happy but with an important message, something not all comedic writers can do: Love yourself.
I recommend this book to everyone who is looking for something light and funny, and for everyone who (like me) loves Shakespeare.

Wow. Das war schlecht. Predictable plot, cheesy punchlines, flache Charaktere. Konnte es nur zu Ende lesen, weil es n Audiobuch war.

Unterhaltsame, kurzweilige Story. Schön für zwischendurch.

Am Anfang war Rosa mir nicht sonderlich sympathisch sondern zu albern, was sich aber mit dem Verlauf aber gibt. Shakespeare fand ich toll und auch die anderen Figuren sind gut gezeichnet.

Der Verlauf hat mir gut gefallen, vor allem das Ende überrascht.
Die Geschichte ist interessant und lustig, einfach typisch Safier. Und nach Längerem eines seiner Bücher, das mir wirklich gefallen hat.
