Sad & beautiful. I need more time to marinate it in my mind & slowly digest it.

In just a few short words and moments this comic hit all my emotions. I read it again immediately after finishing it.

Walden is really good at creating beautiful atmospheric pages. These books are GORGEOUS and they really make me want to buy them just for those beautiful illustrations. Her art lends to the tone of quiet intimacy in many of her comics, and usually reflect the feelings of the characters so well that it's almost like their emotions have reached out of the book and tugged at your soul. Like, even if i personally never had a shared experience to the events in the comic, the way Walden draws her stories makes it seem like I have.

I Love this Part is a short novel of two girls connecting over mundane activities, comics, videos, random conversations about nothing, and forming a deeper intimacy from there.
