gue suka sama jalan ceritanya dan gimana penggambaran dari masing-masing pemeran yg dijelasin cukup detail. gimana karakter sara yg sangat imaginatif dan pemberani untuk gak ngelawan miss michin. karakter miss michin yg menyebalkan sekaliiiii bikin emosiiii sampe mikir "kenapa dia setega itu ya sama anak kecil?" untungnya sara udah bahagia di ending dan dapat menjalani kehidupan penuh kebahagiaannya kembali ^__^

"she was always dreaming and thinking odd things and could not herself remember any time when she had not been thinking things about grown-up people and the world they belonged to. She felt as if she had lived a long, long time."

I wished Frances Hodgson Burnett stopped explaining about Sara at this point. Because at this point, I like her already. Because at this point, I wish I read this book when I was a child. Because at this point, I start to think that Sara and I have similarities.

Sadly though, couple pages later turned my feelings to Sara 180 degrees. She is perfect. Far, far, far too perfect. Not as a child, as a human being. Whimsically pretty, kind, selfless, rich, adored, and different. Boringly perfect. Unlovable perfect.
The kind of perfect that leaves me with a feeling:
"okay, she got everything, everyone love her, life will turn perfect for her yadda yadda yadda. So why should I give a damn about her?"

But of course, this is just temporary. I'm not even halfway reading it. Time will tell, hopefully.
*shrugs*

A fantastic read, which I would recommend for all ages.

''A Little Princess'' is about Sara Crewe who has gone to live and study at a seminary in London run by the cruel Miss Minchin. She is a kind and humble young girl, who loves to 'pretend' and 'suppose' and remains a princess at heart even during trials and tribulations when she is put to work as a servant when her father dies and everyone believes her massive fortune is lost. She is then extremely fortunate and everything changes for her, when luck strikes and finds a dear friend right next door, right on the other side of her attic wall.

A story of perseverance, kindness and making do with what one has, this book is an absolute classic and must-read.

I will leave you with this quote from the book itself:
“If I am a princess in rags and tatters, I can be a princess inside. It would be easy to be a princess if I were dressed in cloth of gold, but it is a great deal more of a triumph to be one all the time when no one knows it.”
