I don't read much historical fiction but  there's something about the tragedy of Pompeii that has always captivated me, and Harris has certainly written a fascinating story set at the time of the eruption, absolutely absorbing and moving, highly recommend! Riveting and emotional.

Popsugar Reading Challenge: A book that has the same title as a song.
I really enjoyed this book. Harris put a lot of research in it. From my study of Roman History and the writings of Pliny, he was spot on. Granted, there is the fictional characters but the setting is accurate. His other references to writings of volcanos was a nice touch. Terrific read.

I love volcano's. This book did not disappoint, but since we already know the end ( I mean, we know it erupted and all that jazz), then it was hard as I wanted some people to live.

Great historical fiction, you know how it ends but the journey there is a lovely puzzle
