I did like Braydon, I was just a little bit disappointed with the story as a whole after how much I loved Travis and Ethan. I just expected something more I guess.

Nicole is an auto buy for me. It was tortuous getting through this book. Aside from the fact that Jesse is not worthy of a Walker brother, there was no depth in the characters of Brayden and Brendon.

We finally get to see into the twins’ lives a little! In previous books, Jessie, Braydon, and Brendon have a friends-with-benefits-threesome going on, but there’s turmoil. Because in that threesome of “just friends” are two people who are branching away from that original set up and want more. But in typical fashion, can’t bring themselves to tell that person how they feel.

“She wanted to feel the safety and security she’d felt in his arms again. It was one of the things that kept her up at night. Thoughts of what it would be like to be held by him again.”

Jessie was strictly looking for a sexual experience but somewhere along the line she started developing feelings for Braydon. Because Jessie has had bad relationships in the past, she views love as a bad thing; that love ruins her and whatever it is brought into. So she keeps her silence. Jessie was the bearer of bad relationships, the understandably stricken “love just doesn’t work for me” woman, and it’s believable. When things suddenly change, she’s heartbroken, and realizes that what she feels for Braydon might be the staying kind. If only she could get over her fear to do something about it.

“‘Damn straight. When you know she’s the one, you just know.’
‘How do you know?’ Braydon asked, not intending for the words to come out.
Zane lowered his voice, his gaze colliding with Braydon’s. ‘When you have to ask that question, then you already know.'”

Braydon, one part of a duo, has always followed Brendon. He took the backseat and never took control, leaving that to his twin. When he starts to feel things for Jessie, he suffers having to be the follower when all he wants to do is just be with her…alone. But since he’s a follower, he doesn’t speak up. When things change drastically, he has to go away, to reset himself emotionally. When he leaves, worlds rip apart; especially Brendon and Jessie’s. Seeing as Braydon is part of a duo, I loved that we also got into Brendon’s head. We got to see his psyche, his emotions, and his views on everything. It wouldn’t have been right without his perspective, to explain why he’s doing and saying what he is, and also who he may be falling for. It set up his story for the future…which I can’t wait for!

In typical Nicole fashion, this tale was sexy and emotional. A buildup to something amazing with emotional ups and downs to get there. I enjoyed their story and where it led them. I cannot wait to see glimpses into them in the future, as well as seeing storylines from the brothers we haven’t seen yet.

(Has slight M/F/M, but mostly M/F)

I have read all of Nicole Edwards' books and no one writes sexy relationships like Nicole. Braydon has been in all of the Alluring Indulgence books and the unconventional relationships he and his twin brother have with women has been intriguing to all of her readers; they will only be with women together. There's just something about Braydon that always got to my heart. He's let his twin, Brendon, control the relationships they have, just sitting back and staying quiet while he orchestrates the sexual encounters. That is until they meet Jessie. She agrees to the relationship because she's looking to escape love. It becomes the longest relationship they have had with a woman, and everything is going well until Braydon starts to have more than casual feelings for Jessie. He doesn’t want to upset the dynamic so he runs. For three months. Leaving behind a broken-hearted Jessie and a destroyed Brendon. When his family gets him to come back he realizes that he doesn't want to run from Jessie anymore. He's in love with her and he's going to convince her that they should try a relationship; just the two of them. Jessie wants to be with Braydon and they have no problems communicating in the bedroom. She's shocked by this new dirty talking, commanding, alpha side of Braydon and she loves it. Unfortunately, Brendon is shattered. He's drinking, hurting himself and can't bear to live without his brother. I cried more than once when Brendon broke down and shared his feelings. He's happy for Braydon and Jessie, but he's afraid he won't make it with out his brother.
Even though this is something they both want, can Braydon and Jessie forget the past and move forward together? Will Brendon survive the loss of his brother in is his life? This is an amazing addition to the series and I can't wait for Brendon's story!

His heart had her image imprinted on it, and another hundred years could pass but Braydon knew he would never be able to forget her.

Kissing her was better than breathing, better than sunshine after a weeklong rainstorm. Yes. Yes, he had gone there. This woman made him wax poetic about fucking rainstorms and he didn't even care.

"I'm not that man. I'm not the guy you're used to. The one who sits back and watches and waits for instruction. I've spent my entire life doing just that, and I've always held back. I won't hold back. Not anymore. Not with you."

"How long was I asleep?" she asked.
"Oh, you know, three hours."
Jessie laughed, "you're kidding, right?
"Nope."
"And you just watched me sleep?"
"Noooo," he said, nodding his head yes.

"Maybe this is a good thing. Maybe there's a chance for me to be happy too." Brendon said.
"There is, " Braydon assure him. "You just have to stop being a dickhead."
"Easier said than done, Bray. Easier said than done."

I was excited for Braydon & Jessie's story but I'll be honest it wasn't what I was expecting. This book was different from all the others in the series because it's more relationship drama and sweet love story than the first 5 books. I guess I expected it to be way hotter since these two started out in a menage. That being said, I did still enjoy it and was glad to see them get their moment.

The narration was just ok. One of the male narrators didn't do the best job with his female voice.

3-3.5stars.
This one was along the same ones as the others but Braydon has the added bonus of his twin Brendon blended into the storyline as well as Jessie and her sister Kylie. I still like the Walker clan but will only read them while looking for something else to read.

Another hot Walker brother book! I enjoyed learning more about Braydon and Jessie. I liked hearing the multiple POVs, how their story progressed, how we got glimpses of some of our favorite characters from the previous books and how we learned a little bit more about Sawyer and Brendan, since their books are up next!

This is another one where I love the characters but the writing in a few places gave me pause. There were many places that seemed monotonous because the author was repeating points. Not only that, but these were points that had been touched on in previous books about the brothers. I hate to knock the star off my rating because I really love Braydon (the character), but it happened too often for me to ignore.

I'm almost afraid the same will happen when I get to Brendon's book since there was so much of him in this story. Of course, since they're twins, that's understandable. I just hope too much wasn't given away here to make Brendon's own story seem like a repeat.

On the other hand, I have grown to love Sawyer more and more over the last few books and I cannot wait to read his story next.
