This book was more of a 2.5. I liked aspects of it, but I’ll be honest I kept wanting explanation for why they were all together and I never got it. I liked the characters and the flow. I found her desperation to have destiny in charge of her and Tobias’ relationship to be tedious and immature, but I have also been tedious and immature about relationships, so that was somewhat relatable. I’m not mad I read this book, but I probably wouldn’t recommend it

some parts almost made me tear up but that doesn’t necessarily make up for the randomness of audrey hepburn, the forced new york references,
the annoying “ultimately everyone want to get married” plot,
and how flat the characters feel. the premise was cool but i was bored by the end.

The book started out a little slow and kind of confusing! Once it became clear what the premise was I loved it! It made me happy and made me cry. It also made me think of who my five people would be that I would invite to dinner... Good read!

This felt like reading The Great Gatsby but from the perspective of Daisy the whole time. Replace the main character with Daisy and Tobias with Gatsby and that’s what this book felt like. Meh.

I was so excited about this book before I read it. The premise was refreshing and it seemed like it could be fun. Ultimately, though some of the characters were very underused and the central love story of the book was kind of boring to me. The ending was also very anticlimactic for me. In fact, aside from a twist halfway through, there didn't seem to be much of a climax. Meh.

Probably actually a five star but too serious and emotional for me to appreciate in the moment. Will revisit
