While this fell into some typical YA tropes and part of the ending didn't fit right for me, I had a lot of fun with this book. The Count of Monte Cristo influences were strong. Dania and Mazin's interactions were pure fire. I adored Noor's friendship with Dania. Again, the ending wasn't as strong as it could have been (something got introduced too late for me to fully get on board), but I will overlook it due to other elements!

This book was a 3.5 read for me. It was a very interesting concept and I liked the main character. However, the plot felt very rushed.
