Soooo long.  Some really really good points in this book.  Some dithering.  Finally started to like the twins arc again.  Seth and Caleb.. 4 books later..c'mon. The whole meteor shower attack..a highlight.  Tory working out all the shiz to get back to D.. a bit long.  Then we ended back at the same ol.... frustrating.

“Love makes a monster of me”

I read this in two days. Look at me, I’m a scholar. Okay, I’ll shut up and get into the review now.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by this. I honestly was feeling kinda over the series after reading book 7 but this just remade my love for the series. It was intense, emotional, and so much happened that I couldn’t put it down.

We really saw a different side of some of the characters in this. We got a lot of tension between the friendship at the beginning and we also saw a different plot with each character.

I will say one thing that is still on my mind. This book did not need to be 1244 pages. Honestly believe the twisted sisters could have finished the series in this book but alas…I’m not an author so…

I did really enjoy this one though, I honestly think it is one of my favourites from the series and I am looking forward to reading the final book.

Happy reading 🤍

It took me so long to get through this one, partly because I didn't read on vacation and it grab my attention as much as some of the other books in the series. I still enjoyed reading it and I'm looking forward to the next book, but I think Sorrow and Starlight would have been better if some of the material was cut. 🫣

Since this is the 8th book in the series, I am not doing an in depth review because it will be too hard to leave out spoilers. I will say the latter half was my favorite, specifically everything revolving around Tory's storyline, if you know you know. 👀
