I really tried to get through this book, but I had to be honest with myself and ultimately decided to not finish it. It was putting me into a reading slump; I didn’t want to pick it up at all. I found it incredibly boring, and I didn’t like any of the characters or care about their situations.

I had higher expectations for this book, it disappointed unfortunately.
Hard to start with, lots of information thrown and you progressively read it faster and it sharpens your curiosity (I was thinking by then it had potential to get better). It was a bit of depressing story and it feels like the end was a bit plain and obvious.
My thoughts were among the lines of: “No one really believes the hysterical mother.. what if she’s actually telling the truth?.”
Well.. that made the ending be like “oh okay, it’s not like it was a big shocker.”
I enjoyed the depth of context and the way you got to know the mothers of the family.

finally! a psychological thriller that actually stressed me out! this was crazy and introspective and fascinating
Holy Crap! I don’t know if this is enough time to process everything that happened in this book. I was so overwhelmed by the craziness. Let’s start with the way the story is narrated. Has anyone seen a book like this one? I would like to try another one. I found it to be a very effective way to deliver the mystery and catch the attention of readers. You guys know already that you’re going to get emotions from my reviews. I hated everyone but, I was jumping from one character to the other. I still don’t understand how a mother can describe their creations like that. Then I hated the daughter for being so awful. Next, I hated the husband for not even trying to understand his wife. Repeat. While reading this I couldn’t help myself and all my reactions where speaking Spanish. ¿Qué? ¿Cómo es posible? Pero, ¿Qué coños está pasando aquí?, etc. I cannot even begin to imagine what is like for mother’s to read this book.... it’s heavyyyyyy! It really made consider not having kids for a while. I hope that by the time I feel ready, I don’t remember the craziness of this story.
