I read this book in a single day at a Getaway cabin, and I could not put this book down! The Push checks off all my boxes for a successful book- great writing, character development, and psychological plot. Highly recommend!

Wow....

First off, this story confirms my fear of having children. Just the thought of being a parent....I could NEVER. This pulled me in from the start and the short chapters really make you want to hurry to see what will happen next. The story spans several generations between mother and daughter, Blythe can’t tell if her daughter truly is evil or if she’s making it up in her head.

I did the audiobook version and it was really well done. But this was One of the darkest books I’ve ever read. I couldn’t stop listening but I don’t think I’d recommend it to anyone.

This book is advertised as a thriller, but it  didn’t feel like it. I kept waiting for something to happen and nothing really did. The writing style is something I’m not used to and I’m not sure if I liked it. I did not enjoy the ending either.

Overall, I was not hooked onto this book like most other thrillers but I was still interested enough to keep reading. The book offered a unique perspective of motherhood that sometimes I found myself relating to the main character, as I am in a point in my life where I can’t decide if I want kids. This book really made me think about how our parents play such a huge role in who we end up becoming.
