I was hugely disappointed in this actually. At times it felt more like a thinly veiled instruction manual for industrial sabotage than a novel. The characters are flat, and the scenes are pretty repetitive until about the last quarter of the book (alternating between sabotage scenes and "evading capture" scenes over and over). You can tell Abbey is incredibly skilled at wordcraft, but I felt like this really lacked a compelling story, there was so much more that could have been done with any of the main characters.

Decent enough characters and humor, I guess, but the plot didn't really capture my fascination.

I never once felt like the stakes were high enough nor that the group was in any danger. While this should have been an entertaining read, I thought it was kind of boring. Interesting to think about this book spurring the eco-sabotage movement, though, for sure.

What a phenomenal book. The characters were so interesting. The action was well paced and followable, and the descriptions were gorgeous.

Took me forever to get through, but that was largely Nathan's fault. Very exciting and fun adventure - especially the last 50ish pages, where it was tough to put down! A good one for anyone interested in environmental activism (or had a dad/father in law Vietnam vet with a crazy streak).
